Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 22 July 2026
These terms apply to your use of this website and to any vehicle purchase agreed with Avonside Auto. They don't affect your statutory rights.
About us
Avonside Auto Ltd, trading as Avonside Auto, Brick Building R/O, 19 The Close, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, CV31 2BL.
Vehicle descriptions
We take care to describe every vehicle accurately, including mileage, specification and condition, in line with the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. Photographs are of the actual vehicle unless stated otherwise. Minor variations (e.g. optional extras fitted after the images were taken) will always be confirmed before you commit to a purchase.
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015
As a consumer, any vehicle you buy from us must be: as described, of satisfactory quality, and fit for purpose. If it isn't, you may have the right to reject it and receive a full refund within the first 30 days, or request a repair or replacement after that period, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. This is in addition to, and unaffected by, any warranty included with your purchase.
Distance selling & your right to cancel
If you purchase a vehicle without attending our premises in person before agreeing to buy (for example, entirely online, by phone, or by post), the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you a 14-day "cooling off" period during which you can cancel the contract for any reason, starting from the day you (or someone you nominate) takes possession of the vehicle.
- To cancel, tell us clearly in writing (email is fine) within 14 days.
- You may be responsible for the cost of returning the vehicle, and for any reduction in its value resulting from use beyond what's reasonable to check it, in the same way you would be allowed to inspect it in a shop.
- This distance-selling cancellation right does not apply if you viewed, test drove and agreed to purchase the vehicle in person at our premises — in that case, your rights are governed by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and any specific terms agreed at the point of sale.
Warranty
Every vehicle is sold with a minimum 3-month mechanical & electrical warranty as standard (see the individual vehicle listing for exact terms, or ask us for a copy of the full warranty document before you buy). The warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights and does not affect them.
Part exchange, deposits & payment
Any deposit taken to reserve a vehicle will be confirmed in writing, including whether it is refundable. Full payment terms will always be agreed and confirmed in writing before a vehicle is released.
Finance
If you arrange finance through a third-party provider we introduce you to, that agreement is between you and the finance provider, who will give you their own terms, a right to withdraw, and their own regulatory disclosures. We are not a lender.
Complaints
See our Complaints Procedure for how to raise an issue and what happens next.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
